Don has maintained a Victoria birthday freebie list since 2009. FreeBirthday.ca turns that local idea into a dedicated Canadian directory that can grow city by city without losing the practical details that make a local guide useful.

Useful information, not just a long list

Each listing explains what the birthday person receives, whether a purchase is required, how early to register, where the offer can be used and when the information was checked.

Local businesses belong here

National rewards are convenient, but the most interesting city pages also include independent restaurants, bakeries, attractions, shops and services. Businesses can submit a birthday offer at no cost.

Careful growth

The site will not publish an empty page for every municipality in Canada. Version 2 adds Vancouver and a British Columbia hub while keeping Victoria as the original flagship guide. Future city pages will be added only when they can provide enough current offers and original local information to be worthwhile.
